Victory Child Empowerment (VCE) is committed to promoting care reform and eradicating Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in Kisii County by ensuring that children grow up in safe, nurturing families while challenging harmful cultural practices. To achieve this, VCE implements a multifaceted approach that includes promoting family preservation and preventing child separation through community advocacy and family empowerment; transitioning Charitable Children’s Institutions (CCIs) by building their capacity and engaging the community; and managing individual child and family reintegration cases through tailored support plans, multisectoral collaboration, and survivor support. The organization also advocates for alternative family care by raising awareness and supporting foster and kinship care programs, strengthens household economic stability through income-generating activities, skills training, and financial linkages, and fosters spiritual growth and cultural transformation through faith-based interventions and community dialogues.
