Onboarding and capacity building are two critical inception stages towards a successful transition of CCIs and reintegration of children. This week VICTORY CHILD EMPOWERMENT team had a capacity building session at Center for Grace Children's Home ( a newly onboarded CCI) in Kisii County. The introductory session involved the CCI staff, VCE staff, CCI management and the children under their care. We have 5 CCIs now under our support and 321 children. We focussed on why Care reform, care reform journey in globally and in Kenya and why we all need to ensure that children remain in or/and return to safe, nurturing, caring and stable families. However intense, resource consuming reintegration is coupled with regular follow ups, VCE is working with diverse stakeholders towards making reintegration of children successful and permanent. Together we can make this work!
