The VCE Team in action at Managu Polytechnic Nyamira County sensitizing the public and CHVS against medicalization FGM.



Two out of three cases of cutting are performed by health practitioners, in contrast to much of the country, where 70% of FGM cases are performed by traditional practitioners. The VCE Team is in action at Managu Polytechnic Nyamira County sensitizing the public against medicalization FGM. We focused on the concept and practice of medicalized FGM, contributing factors, why medicalized FGM, and how community members together with CHVs can be part of mitigating and subsequently eradicating this form of GBV.




Together, we can build stronger, safer, and more empowered communities.
