Medicalized FGM remains prevalent in Kisii and Nyamira counties. Healthcare workers are critical in stopping this bodily, health, and psychological form of violence against women and girls. Last week VCE engaged health workers at Holsoms Hospital in a dialogue towards mitigation and eradicating medicalized FGM. A total of 34 healthcare workers and hospital support staff were reached.
