Victory Child Empowerment (VCE) extends heartfelt gratitude to WezaCare Solutions for the warm reception at their Kisumu offices. Our team had an incredibly productive discussion with the WezaCare team, focusing on partnership, capacity building, and mutual learning to drive the transition of residential care institutions (CCIs) in Kenya.
During this meeting, we had the opportunity to share our experiences and lessons from VCE's ongoing care reform initiatives in Kisii County. This exchange of ideas provided valuable insights and opened doors for collaborative efforts toward improving care systems across the region.
A key highlight of the meeting was learning about the WezaCare Transition Accelerator Model, which focuses on facilitating a smooth and effective transition for children out of CCIs into family-based care. This model aligns with VCE's mission to ensure children grow up in safe, nurturing families, and we look forward to exploring how we can integrate this innovative approach into our care reform programs.
