Victory Child Empowerment (VCE) was Selected for a Prestigious Grant to Eliminate FGM, and GBV, and Promote Economic Empowerment in Nyamira County.

Victory Child Empowerment (VCE) is proud to announce that we have been selected by the International Solidarity Foundation (ISF) and the European Union in Kenya as one of the recipients of a transformative grant aimed at eliminating Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) while fostering economic empowerment in Nyamira County.

This significant grant will enable VCE to work closely with local communities at the grassroots level, providing the resources and support needed to address critical issues such as FGM and GBV, which disproportionately affect women and girls. This initiative aims to create a safer, more equitable environment where every individual can thrive without fear or discrimination.

At VCE, our mission is rooted in the belief that every child and community deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity for economic empowerment. This grant strengthens our ability to advocate for change, support victims of GBV, raise awareness about the harmful effects of FGM and empower communities to break the cycle of violence and poverty.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Eliminating FGM and GBV: Working closely with community members to raise awareness, offer support services, and lead initiatives that challenge harmful practices.

  • Promoting Economic Empowerment: Providing economic opportunities and training to empower individuals and families, helping them to become self-reliant and resilient.

  • Grassroots Engagement: Partnering with local leaders, influencers, and grassroots organizations to ensure that our efforts are community-driven and sustainable.

VCE is deeply grateful to ISF and the European Union in Kenya for recognizing our work and supporting our vision for a more just, inclusive, and empowered society. This grant will help accelerate our impact, enabling us to expand our programs and reach more individuals across Nyamira County.

A Call to Action As we embark on this transformative journey, we invite all community members, partners, and stakeholders to join us in eliminating FGM and GBV. Together, we can build a brighter, safer future for generations to come.

Thank you once again to ISF and the European Union in Kenya for this invaluable support. The journey to community empowerment continues, and we are excited to see the positive changes this partnership will bring.

Stay tuned for updates on our progress and follow us on social media for more information on our ongoing work.
